Section 01
Information We Collect
Tapsay is designed to be a private, device-first application. The information we collect is kept to the absolute minimum needed to make the app function properly.
Here is what may be collected:
- Voice recordings โ audio files you create by tapping the Record button. These are stored only on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
- Task metadata โ the name, date, and status (open/done) of tasks you create. Also stored locally on your device.
- Crash and error reports โ if the app crashes, basic diagnostic information (device model, OS version, error type) may be sent to help us fix the issue. No audio or task content is included.
- Contact form submissions โ if you email us or submit a message through our website, we collect your name, email address, and message content to respond to you.
๐ก In plain terms: Your voice recordings and tasks never leave your phone unless you explicitly share them yourself using the Share button.
Section 02
Information We Do Not Collect
To be absolutely clear about what Tapsay does not do:
- We do not sell your data to any third party, ever.
- We do not collect your location, GPS data, or IP address through the app.
- We do not access your contacts, calendar, photos, or any other data outside the app.
- We do not build advertising profiles or track your behavior across apps or websites.
- We do not listen to your microphone in the background or at any time other than when you actively tap Record.
- We do not share your task content, recordings, or personal information with any advertisers or data brokers.
Section 03
Microphone Permission
Tapsay's core feature is voice recording, which requires access to your device's microphone. Here is exactly how we use it:
- Microphone access is requested the first time you tap the Record button.
- The microphone is only active when you are actively recording โ from the moment you tap Record to the moment you tap Stop or Pause.
- No audio is captured, stored, or transmitted when the app is in the background or when you are not recording.
- Recorded audio is saved as a file on your device only. It is not streamed to any server.
โ๏ธ How to revoke access: You can remove microphone permission at any time by going to Settings โ Apps โ Tapsay โ Permissions on your Android device. Revoking microphone access will disable the Record feature but the rest of the app will continue to work normally.
Section 04
Data Storage & Security
All data created in Tapsay โ including recordings, task names, notes, and settings โ is stored locally in your device's internal storage using Android's built-in application sandbox.
- Data is stored in a private app directory that other apps on your device cannot access.
- Tapsay uses Android's standard file and database security mechanisms to protect your information.
- We do not operate any cloud servers that store your personal recordings or task data.
- If you uninstall Tapsay, all locally stored data is deleted automatically by Android.
If we introduce optional cloud backup or sync features in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy, notify you clearly within the app, and ask for your explicit opt-in consent before any data ever leaves your device.
Section 05
How We Use Your Information
The limited information we do collect is used only for the following purposes:
- Crash diagnostics โ to identify and fix bugs that affect your experience.
- Customer support โ to respond to questions, bug reports, and feedback you send us directly.
- App improvement โ aggregate, anonymous usage patterns may be used to understand how the app is used and to prioritize features. This data is never tied to you personally.
We do not use your information for marketing, advertising, or any purpose not listed above.
Section 06
Third-Party Services
Tapsay may use a small number of third-party services to support crash reporting and app stability. Any such service is carefully selected to ensure your personal content is never shared.
- Crash reporting tools receive only technical diagnostic data (device model, OS version, error logs) โ never your recordings, task names, or personal details.
- We do not use third-party analytics platforms that track individual user behavior.
- We do not integrate any advertising SDKs or social media tracking tools.

Section 07
Children's Privacy
Tapsay is not directed at or intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at info@siffar.com and we will delete that information promptly.
Section 08

Section 09
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do:
- The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be changed.
- For significant changes โ especially any that affect how we handle your data โ we will notify you through an in-app notification.
- Your continued use of Tapsay after a policy update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
We encourage you to review this page periodically. We will never make changes that reduce your privacy rights without giving you clear notice and, where required, your explicit consent.
